Walk the Labyrinth
at Elements Rising Meditation Center & Studio
A Sacred Path.
I invite you to step onto the sacred path that lead to our forest labyrinth and meditation grounds. Walking a labyrinth is for some a meditation, and for others a spiritual journey. Some enter with a question or thought, others enter with receptivity to what might arise as they walk. The journey of the labyrinth is yours to explore and return to.
A labyrinth is an ancient symbol of life’s journey. Our design is a 12-circuit style path, inspired by the labyrinth laid in the floor of the Chartres Cathedral, France, around 1220 CE; It is a path of peace. A labyrinth is often confused with a maze, but it is not a puzzle to be solved, but instead a mirror for the soul. When followed, it is a single meditative pathway where the act of placing one foot in front the other, brings comfort to the body, stillness to the mind and provides support when life in feels confusing and we are reassured that we can find out way through.
As you walk, each step becomes a prayer, a release, a breathe.
A labyrinth invites you to walk at your own pace, perhaps sit for a while in the center and then take your time following the same path out. Walkers should plan for a minimum of 20 minutes, but are welcome to stay longer.
Healing benefits may include: grief support, spiritual and religious based journeys, mindfulness based stress reduction, and earth based energy healing. Offered to the community as a place to retreat and find inner peace, this space is available for groups or individuals to enjoy by donation. Life is a journey with many turns and trails; as stated best by Saint Augustine “It is solved by walking”. Please schedule time to come, bathe in the forest sanctuary and walk.
With your on the journey,
Nadine
““Walking a labyrinth clears the mind and gives insight into the spiritual journey. It urges action. It calms people in the throes of life transitions. It helps them see their livesin the context of a path, a pilgrimage. They realize that they are not human beings on a spiritual path, but spiritual beings on a human path.”
